The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation through its fundraising initiative The Common Good, exists to help people to live healthier for longer by sustaining life-changing and life-saving medical research.
The core research areas we support are heart disease, lung disease, mental health, and ageing, while also supporting and investing in innovative equipment and patient care programs.
Established in 1986, the Foundation originally focused on supporting The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, Australia’s leading cardiology hospital and home to one of Queensland’s busiest Children’s Emergency Departments.
In recent years, we have expanded our support to include Caboolture Hospital in Queensland.
In 2024, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation was honoured as the 2024 Queensland Gives Philanthropic Foundation of the Year. This recognition reflects the life-changing impacts we have been able to achieve, which are only made possible by our remarkable community of supporters including sponsors, corporate partners, researchers, clinicians and donors.
Over the last decade, the Foundation has distributed $36.8 million in funding, including $17.6 million for heart disease research, $10.6 million for lung disease, and $8.5 million for mental health, ageing, and regional research. These efforts have fostered significant collaborations, catalysed national change, and secured substantial additional funding.
Profits from the Echo Australia conference support research grants and equipment through The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation and we are proud to support Echo Australia 2025.
